Sharon Yvonne Stone was born on March 10, 1958, in Meadville, Pennsylvania, to the accountant Dorothy Lawson and tool and die manufacturer also a former worker at a factory Joseph William Stone II. Michael, Kelly, Patrick and Dorothy Lawson are her 3 siblings. Stone has a talent in school as an infant, started her second grade education at the age of five. She earned a high school certificate at Saegertown in Saegertown in Pennsylvania in 1975. She was also a contestant at Saegertown's Miss Pennsylvania beauty pageant, and was crowned Miss Crawford County. Stone and her aunt relocated to New Jersey to New Jersey in order to pursue a career as a model in 1977. They joined an agency called the Ford Modeling Agency after a couple of months. After spending a year living in Milan and Paris the model moved to Europe. Stone, however, became unhappy with acting and modeling in Europe. Stone decided to pursue her career as an actress during the time she was in Europe. In her 20s, she starred in the Woody Allen film "Stardust Memories" that received mixed praises.
