She starred as an actor from Romania in Romanian actress in Cristian Mungiu's film 4 luni3 two days (four months, three weeks and two three weeks and two days) which was awarded the Palme d'Or and other prizes during the 2007 Cannes Film Festival. Additionally, she was a child in the film of Francis Ford Coppola's Youth Without Youth. The film was released in 2008. She starred as Yasim Angwar, the BBC five-episode Miniseries The Last Enemy. Marinca was a guest on her own Romanian drama Boogie along with Oliver Hirschbiegels Five Minutes of Heaven. In the movie Fury (2014), she played Irma, a German woman, who served as Emma's aunt.
